We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Business development manager. As a business development manager, you'll identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. Your work can involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, enhancing the operation of the business, position and reputation.
As a business development manager, you will need to:
- research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
- seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
- generate leads and cold call prospective customers
- meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
- foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
- understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
- ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service from the team
- follow and achieve subsidiary goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
- “Go the extra mile” to open leads, drive sales and close leads think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
- cross-sell products and services by other subsidiaries
- team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
- work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
- have a good understanding of the business's products, and services and be able to advise others about them
- ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
- keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.
MARKETING:
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities for the subsidiary
- Create reports and maintain subsidiary comms Assist with organizing subsidiary events
- Design subsidiary Content for advertising material and comms (e.g. posts, tweets and newsletters)
- Prepare regular sales forecasting reports
- Monitor competitors’ marketing activities
Requirements and skills
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a relevant field
- Proven work experience in Marketing, sales or similar role
- Knowledge of marketing digital tools and techniques
- Experience with SEO/SEM campaigns
- Solid computer skills, including MS Excel, web analytics, and Google Adwords
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented attitude
